| Story | Bleu came to our Rescue Group from a very loving family. The couple had a young child with multiple special needs. In obvious physical distress, Bleu arrived with ten pounds of medical records and virtually no fur on his back. The family was treating him with a variety of medications, and they were heartbroken to see him suffering. Extensive testing revealed nothing more than a dairy allergy. A sensitive boy with a gentle, self conscious personality… all of Bleu’s issues were related to change. He doesn’t readily adapt to change. He depends on routines, and he doesn’t do well with things out of place. With much love and dedication from The Two Most Loving Caregivers… Bleu was gradually weaned off of his medications. His fur grew back magnificently, and his cute little personality began to blossom. |
| Then What Happened | This Wonderful Couple had a Golden Herd of Five, and they knew that The Bleu would be happier in a smaller pack… yet they really had a hard time letting him go. He needed to go to someone equally loving, who would shower him with attention. He needed to be placed with someone in their tight inner circle, then… Over Christmas that year, they asked if he could do a two night sleepover at our house, while they slipped out of town. Knowing him well, and with full confidence that he would get along with The Luke… I was happy to help. Those two nights led to a third, then a fourth, then… It was a setup. And it worked!
